Educational/Professional Background:
LaShon, attended the accredited Sir Walter Academy and graduated from the academy in 1987. In 1987 right out of the academy she landed her first Stylist position. From 1987-1989 she worked for private own salons whereby she was able to hone her skills, build up clientele and prove herself in the industry.In the latter part of 1989 she received an offer to work for the renown JC Penney Styling Salon in Fayetteville, NC. While working for JC Penney; LaShon permed, washed, cut and styled her way to REPEAT HONORS as a JC Penney ALL STAR Master Stylist. She held this position with JC Penney until 1995, the year that she decided to venture out on her own. During this same year LaShon would matriculate through Dudley Cosmetology University's Continuing Education for the Stylist and Beauty Industry. This would also be the start of Diamond & Emerald Hair Boutique idea. Thus from 1995 until 2007 she would work in the booth rental aspect of the Stylist industry. Diamond & Emerald Hair Boutique had not yet erected in terms of a physical edifice; Yet, the concept was in place. In 2007, after a relocation to Raleigh, NC, LaShon put the concept into motion even further, and started officially, Diamond & Emerald Hair Boutique located within the brand name Stylist Studios. It should be duly noted that LaShon has been since the start of her career, recognized with the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Arts, as a Professional Stylist. Furthermore, with this new endeavor in place, LaShon M. McNeil and Diamond & Emerald Hair Boutique is Recognized and Licensed by the State Board of Cosmetic Arts as a reputable Salon to realize and make real hair care aspirations and request a reality.
With over 20+ years of experience LaShon's goal is to meet all of your hair care needs by bringing out your individual and natural beauty. The skills and experience that she has obtained during these 20+ years with hands-on stylist creations, Hair Shows, Beauty Pageants, Weddings, Makeup-Artist ventures, Beauty Consultant; Workshops and Seminars with the likes of Redken, Mizani, Mary Kay Beauty as a Consultant, Essations, Nairobi, Dudley, Arosci, Nexxus, CLAROL, Matrix, Soft Sheen, Silk 2, Joyce Williams, BBD Products, Design Essentials, Affirm Products, Vitale and Onyx Products, for Cosmetics Seminars and Photo shoots and as a former Platform Artist for Arosci products; all qualify and enable her as an accomplished and highly competent expert in the Stylist industry to address your hair care needs.
